What is the Panchang?
The Panchang (or Panchangam) is the classical Vedic almanac. Panch-anga means “five limbs”: the tithi (lunar day), nakshatra (the moon’s constellation), yoga, karana and vaara (weekday). Together they describe the quality of a given day and underpin every muhurat (auspicious timing) calculation.
